In the Traffic Emergency Action Plan study carried out within the scope of Updating the Diyarbakır Sustainable Transportation Master Plan, in which the target year is 2040, the information collected on the existing structure and characteristics of the transportation system was evaluated, the problems and bottlenecks in the current transportation system were determined, and the transportation and traffic that could be applied in the short term to take measures to calm the traffic. Planning, transportation demand management and traffic engineering solutions have been developed. In the study, primarily traffic counts and analyzes were made.
For each intersection where traffic counts are made; Peak hour model, current status and proposal projects, average delay times per vehicle and service levels according to intersection control type were compared.
An approximately 10 km corridor on Elazığ Boulevard, which is currently used for urban transportation, has been identified. Recommendations for the study of the corridor have been developed and projectized.
