The study area includes the D-400 Highway corridor between Mersin and Adana provinces. The corridor that starts from the intersection Gazi Mustafa Kemal Blv. and Akbelen Blv. at the eastern exit of Mersin and continues in the direction of Adana, passes through Tarsus and Yenice settlements and ends at the intersection of Turhan Cemal Beriker Blv. and 46129 Sk. at the western entrance of Adana.
Project corridor has a total length of 60.7 km and there are 29 intersections in total on the corridor that provide access to the surrounding settlements and connect to the highway passing from the north of the corridor.
While 7 of these intersections are underpasses, 15 are bridge crossings (cast in place/prestressed/post-tension and piled/shallow foundation systems), 4 are level crossings and the remaining 3 are different level intersections, only additional junction arms are designed within the scope of this project.
