Considering the targets and strategies of the Izmir Transportation Master Plan (UPI) and Master Development Plan (NIP) decisions, the travel values expected to occur in the target year (2030) were determined, transportation investments and priorities deemed necessary especially for public transportation priority transportation were determined, and basic planning decisions were made. .
According to the UPI 2030 Final Scenario, the “M2 Buca HRS Line” and “M3 Old İzmir HRS Line” projects, which are foreseen in line with the travel demands, were prepared.
In order to determine the travel demands of the mentioned routes, the transportation model prepared within the scope of UPI was used. Travel demand forecasts were made for the designated corridor. Before the public transportation assignments, rubber-tyred public transportation lines were rearranged in line with the main spine routes and feeder lines were created.
Within the scope of the feasibility study of the priority lines envisaged in accordance with the travel requests determined in accordance with the UPI 2030 Final Scenario, the financial and economic feasibility of line investment and line extension operations were examined and the risk analysis of project investments was carried out and reported.
